About ECPM
The European Center of Pharmaceutical Medicine
The ECPM Course was established in 1991 in partnership with the pharmaceutical industry and the EUCOR medical schools of the Universities of Basel (CH), Freiburg i.Br. (D) and Strasbourg (F). ECPM is a university institute within the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel and is also a member of the Pharmacenter Basel (Center of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Basel). This course was the starting point of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Medicine.
The ECPM provides several postgraduate and continuous education courses on its Training Platform for professionals working in the different fields of medical product development sciences.
ECPM has the coordinating role in the Education and Training project of IMI (Innovative Medicines Initiative) called Pharmatrain. This project has the aim of harmonising the content and the quality of training in pharmaceutical medicine/drug development sciences throughout Europe.
The ECPM Course is accredited by the International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians (IFAPP) and certified by the University of Basel within the Bologna system.
