Objectives
The course will explore the concept of leadership and what it takes to become a good leader. The course will help participants to understand strategic trends in global pharmaceutical and health economics and business environments. Participants will be encouraged in writing business plans along the entire product life cycle. This course provides participants with a platform and network for discussing key issues in drug development, new therapies, insurance, and regulation with other industry professionals. Participants will learn debriefing and fine-tuning of business plans with a 100-Day Leadership Breakthrough Projects.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the participants should be able to describe:
- New tools and practices in bringing a new molecule to market
- Evolving expectations from the regulatory and financial environment
- Basic principles of innovation leadership for profitable growth, results through speaking and listening, morality, lead cross cultures, and communication strategies
- Basics in various types of alliances, valuation of technologies, portfolio management, joint ventures, partnerships, pricing of drugs.
- Structuring successful collaborative arrangements between pharmaceutical companies, SMEs and universities
- Basics of legal and health economics including constraints of conducting a successful biopharmaceutical business
- The Role and key competences and tasks of a CEO, including perspectives of an employee, a CEO and a board member
